Public codes (CS20501S)

This topic provides information about the elements in this window in Visma Net, such as fields, field values, buttons, and check boxes.

Public codes are used in the SAF-T and FIA reports and in the Chart of accounts to map your accounts to the Public codes.

The government gives the codes for

  • Norway,
  • Denmark
    and
  • Finland,
    and you must use these values if you send the report to the government for the Public code and Grouping category.

For Sweden; use the SRU codes.

The Public code and GropingCategory is the columns that are used in the report in the XML-file: <Masterfile><GeneralLedgerAccounts><AccountGroupingCategory>

You can also create your own code set that will be exported to the SAF-T file if you export the file to other systems.

Category ID

This is a unique numbering of Public codes The following codes exist for the different countries.

If you define your own code set use numbering, use 50 or higher to avoid conflict with Visma Net standard.

The country for the Public code.

Description of the Category ID.

Check this for the Public code set you want to use in Chart of accounts and for SAF-T. It is only the Default public code will be available in Chart og account.

Public code lines contain valid codes, and the Public code, Code description, and Code group are mandatory because they are mandatory in the SAF-T report.

If you use SAF-T for another purpose than sending it to the government, you can use these columns for other useful information for the receiving part.
